It’s a revolutionary new treatment that does not solely rely on heat to burn or melt away unwanted body art or pigments that cause dark spots in your skin. When treating pigmented lesions, most patients reported the procedure as having very little discomfort. They tend to describe the treatment to feel like “a tiny rubber band snap”. In the case of tattoo removal treatments, additional energy may be required. In these cases, a numbing cream or other solution can be used to minimize any discomfort associated with the treatment.

The procedure time depends on the size of the area being treated. For an average-sized tattoo or skin revitalization treatment, the treatment time can range from 15-20 minutes.

For tattoo removal, the location, size and color of tattoo play a role in determining the number of treatments necessary. For most tattoos, 3-10 treatments spaced between 8 weeks is common.
For treatment of benign skin conditions, typically, only 1-3 treatments are necessary. Our skilled staff will help you explore what treatment plan best suits your specific needs.

The removal and reduction of tattoos and acne scars provide permanent results. Skin revitalization treatments are long-lasting. Still, as we age, some pigment conditions can recur. In these cases, a PicoLazer treatment every 6 months can help prevent unwanted pigmentation and slow the appearance of wrinkles.

Scarring and hypo-pigmentation (a lightening in the skin color of the treated area) are very rare. If they do occur, they’re usually temporary and normal skin is typically restored once healing is complete.

Recovery times will vary from patient to patient. The type of treatment being performed, as well as the area of the body the treatment being performed, as well as the patient’s ability to heal play a role in determining the recovery time. Typically, treatment intervals are between 4-8 weeks for tattoo removal. Our expert staff will help determine the appropriate treatment plan for your needs.
