Tickle Lipo Vs Smart Lipo

When it comes to effectively removing fat via surgery, liposuction is king. But even with liposuction, there are a variety of new methods that work. They all aim to be fast, efficient and quick-healing. Newer methods of liposuction also claim to be virtually painless and to lack the need for general anesthesia. The two newest ones are called: Smart Liposuction (using laser technology) and Tickle Liposuction (using vibration), both of which we offer at our Plush Derma Laser Clinic offices in Carson, Huntington Park and El Monte.

But which one is the right one for you to use in order to reduce fat in the body? Take a look below and decide for yourself which one would be right for you.

How does Smart Lipo work?

Smart Liposuction is a smart laser (lipolysis) procedure that targets trouble spots of the body. It is said to eliminate fat in the body permanently. The liposuction is performed using a local anesthetic and a small tube that is inserted into the body. The smart laser fiber is then inserted through the tube and ruptures the cells using its lasers. The fat is then liquefied and suctioned out through the tube in the body.

Another benefit of Smart Lipo, is that it tightens the skin. Through a process known as coagulation, the skin around the area where the liposuction is performed is tightened. That why you don’t have to worry about having to spend money for another surgery. There is no dimpling, sagging, and the skin has improved elasticity.  There is also minimal downtime and less pain than the traditional method of liposuction.

The price of the liposuction depends on your consultation with the doctor and number of sessions. Smart Liposuction’s effectiveness also depends on the body and the amount of fat that is being removed. However, most people who have opted to undergo this treatment have been satisfied with the results.

How does Tickle Lipo work?

Tickle Liposuction is a procedure that we offer at our Plush Derma Laser Clinics in Los Angeles. This procedure is a minimally invasive procedure that also uses local anesthetic like Smart Lipo. However, this procedure works by emitting small vibrations that break up the fat cells in the body. Hence the name Tickle Liposuction, because patients have remarked that it feels like little tickles.

The procedure is done by creating a small incision and inserting a specialized, slim, cannula into the body. The cannula then emits a vibration at 10 hertz while it moves through the body breaking up fat cells. The fat is then suctioned out of the body and the patient experiences minimal discomfort during the procedure.

However, unlike Smart Liposuction, patients will need to wear a pressure garment afterwards in order to keep the skin tight. Tickle Liposuction does not tighten the skin during the procedure, so it is necessary to heed the doctor’s instruction concerning the pressure garment.
